The 2015 NBA All-Stars have been announced and once again the fans have let me down. Picking Kobe Bryant over James Harden is simply unacceptable. It's a crime. Kobe has missed several games due to injuries, and while he did put up some great scoring displays, his team is still at the bottom of the Pacific Division. Unfortunately the number of 'Kobetards' around the world is greater then the number of true basketball fans. That's why the system has to be somehow changed, as every year 2-3 players, that are worthy of an All-Star selection, get snubbed in favor of aging stars of yesterday. Commisioner Adam Silver already hinted about changing the All-Star selections by expanding the rosters. I like that Mr. Silver is so active and wants to change things for the better, but in this case I don't think expanding the rosters would be such a great idea, as then the players would get less minutes on the court. The minute distribution would be a head scratcher for the coaches. I think that we should let the players decide themselves on who should be an All-Star. Players would vote, just like us, for the players, who aren't their teammates, and then the 5 players from each conference with the most votes are the starters. The reserves would be picked by the coaches just like now. This is just an idea from the top of my head, but I still think this is better then letting some random fans vote. And also how is that possible that the player with the most votes only receive around 2 million votes? The NBA is expanding, more and more people are watching it, but only a few care enough to vote. That's why changes need to be done.
